Leaving El Huecu, we crossed a strange river called the ´sour river´ because of its taste. There is so much Iron in the water that is discolours the river bed and banks a strange orange colour. Following the river valley, we came across this incredible waterfall. I wonder of anyone has jumped it? Any volunteers?
In this part of the world there is a strange tree called the Araucaria tree which is notable as it has seperate male and female trees which live close to each other, they need 3 years to reproduce, high altitude, cold nights, hot days and the Female tree is the one with the balls...look carefully at the top of the tree. This one is all girl.
When we reached Lake Alumine, we found that we had a slight problem.... the brown stuff had made contact with the ventillation and our hotel booking was for an hotel with the same name in a village with the same name but 400km away... Just a bit too far to go in 2 hours. In the end, the lovely Danilla found us a hotel and a holiday cabin close together. We avoided camping for now.
